California hosted a major climate summit in September, with delegates calling on national governments to join forces and step up climate action ahead of 2020, the year when global greenhouse gases need to peak and fall sharply thereafter to avoid the worst impacts of climate change.
An alliance of more than 60 state and city governments as well as multinational businesses are now committed to 100 percent zero-emission targets through the Zero Emission Vehicle Challenge.
Earthfile, a weekly environment and development program from Channels Television in Nigeria, looks at the various types of environmentally friendly vehicles available and the policies that can help promote and sustain their use.
