Collaborative efforts to combat Climate Change

PBCJ, Caribbean

The changes already brought about by Climate Change, some irreversible, are a wake-up call for the world.

In the Caribbean, the increasing frequency of natural disasters threatens the livelihood of many.

Jamaica and other countries in the region have said they are fully committed to implementing the Paris climate agreement. Ten Caribbean islands have already ratified the agreement, and Jamaica has announced plans to follow.

But this has not stopped work already being done by the Government at the National and International levels to combat Climate Change.

Reporter Carol Francis spoke with Jamaica’s Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade who is attending the Climate conference in Morocco and filed this report.
