Tanmoy Bhaduri


Tanmoy Bhaduri (born 1992) is an award winning independent photojournalist and writer with five years of experience as a professional, based in Kolkata, India. He generally covers breaking news stories and under-reported issues on development, women and child rights, human trafficking, insurgencies, natural disaster, indigenous rights, climate change, strikes and conflicts.

He received Shishushree Award for Best Reporting in New Media by West Bengal Commission for Protection of Child Rights, Government of West Bengal in 2017 & 2018. Tanmoy has been awarded prestigious Asian Environmental Journalism Award from Singapore Environment Council in 2019 for his extensive coverage on impact of climate change in human life. Bhaduri received Pulitzer Center Crisis Reporting Fellowship in 2017 and reported on impact of climate change in southwest Bangladesh and got Impact Journalism Grant in 2019.
